Hugh Quinn MID

Hugh Quinn MID, was an active member of the North Queensland Kennedy Regiment Rifle Club. He enlisted in the AIF as a Captain and saw active duty in Egypt and the Gallipoli Campaign including the initial landing at ANZAC Cove. Captain Hugh Quinn MID, was killed in action at what was known as Quinn’s Post on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

In Commemoration of the Brave

The memorial comprises the Armistice Centenary Memorial Gate at the primary entrance to the Belmont Shooting Complex on Old Cleveland Road, as well as a circular memorial forming part of a contemplative garden.
