William James Alexander McAllister

William James Alexander McAllister was a member of the Forest Hill Rifle Club. He enlisted and served with the 2nd Light Horse Regiment in Egypt and Gallipoli. Private William James McAllister died of wounds on 24 May 1915 on board the ‘Dunluce’ off the Gallipoli Peninsula.

William James Alexander McAllister

In Commemoration of the Brave

The memorial comprises the Armistice Centenary Memorial Gate at the primary entrance to the Belmont Shooting Complex on Old Cleveland Road, as well as a circular memorial forming part of a contemplative garden.
