James Eric Campbell was a member of the Ravenswood Rifle Club. He enlisted and served with the 20th Australian Infantry Battalion in the Campaigns at Gallipoli and on the Western Front. Lance Corporal James Campbell died of wounds on 14 August 1916 which he received in action on 5 August 1916 at Pozieres, France.
