David Emmet Coyne AM, was a member of the Marian Rifle Club. He enlisted and served with the 31st Battalion in the Campaign on the Western Front.
Sergeant David Coyne MID died from a grenade explosion and saved his men at Vaire-sous-Corbie, Vignacourt, Somme, France which earnt him the Albert Medal (Gold).
